Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding
Location: Aberdeen
Salary: Up to £75,000 + Car Allowance + Commission + Benefits

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-established, global logistics and freight forwarding organisation based in Aberdeen.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven individual to play a key role in expanding business across the air and ocean freight / supply chain sector, with a strong focus on new business development.

The Role

• Drive new business growth (circa 90% new business focus)
• Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline
• Build and maintain relationships with clients across energy, engineering and industrial sectors
• Lead the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract negotiation and close
• Identify and convert opportunities into measurable revenue growth
• Work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in a Business Development / Sales role within freight forwarding
• Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain, and project cargo
• Experience working with clients in energy, engineering, or industrial sectors
• Demonstrable track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously

Package

• Basic salary up to £75,000
• £4,200 car allowance
• Commission scheme (circa 5% of GP, subject to scheme)
• 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
• Pension, life assurance & healthcare cash plan (post-probation)
